A know a lot of people think that saving money is the hardest thing to do. I was one of those people. I always felt like I when I looked at my savings account it just wasn’t enough in there. I was always missing the point though. The point of saving money is to always add to what you have. No matter how much your adding your still adding and eventually it adds up.
I started saving at the beginning of this year. In fact it was my New Years resolution. Here are some of the ways in which I’ve been able to save up a considerable amount.
First I’ve been taking $50 out of every paycheck. I get payed bi-weekly so that’s $100 dollars a month.
Secondly, I’ve slowed down on using debit/credit cards because I find that it’s easier for me to save all the change(coins) I get back from when I go into stores. So instead I’ve started to keep cash on me. Eventually all those coins add up. With the debit/credit cards all you do is spend and spend. With cash you put the change you get back in your pockets and a lot of time we end up loosing it or throwing it away.
Thirdly, Coupons! These little things are the absolute best. I’ve seen people go into stores and get hundreds of dollars worth of items and not spend more than $10. That’s what we call extreme couponing. People always claim they don’t have the time to coupon but it could save you a lot of money.
These are just some of the ways I’ve been able to save money. I will continue to share ways in other postings
