This Christmas, I have drawn blanks on what to get my kids. At 8 and 5 they have iPhones, xboxes, iPads, hover boards, Barbie dream houses, bikes, and go karts to name a few. What else could they possibly need? There’s no need to buy toys. Every toy I bought last year got thrown away. So what do I do?

My thinking is to just buy clothes, shoes and learning tools. They are adamant about getting the Nintendo Switch though. I’m not convinced that it’s a great way to spend money. I believe they will play it for maybe a couple weeks then throw it to the side.

Maybe we should just get back to what Christmas is supposed to be about. I doubt that will go over well with them, but I’m completely out of ideas.
